Dear Lord. I can't believe I'm finally done.

Here it is, folks...the project that ate my life for the past year. Done as a commission for a girl in Singapore, this is by far the most difficult fabric-based project I have EVER done. Man was it a learning experience, let me tell you. But I DID learn a ton.

Sesshoumaru here, is made from cotton broadcloth, boat upholstry, sculpey polymer clay, silk, and polyester. His fluffy is made from Australian sheepskin, and his hair is a human-sized wig, taken apart and scaled down to fit his head. Man that part took a long time. *laughs*

Sess is also fully-jointed, so he can move his arms at the shoulders, elbows, legs, waist, and can turn his head from side to side. His fingers (complete with claws) have wire armatures in them, so they can be bent to different positions. He is just shy of 33 inches tall, which makes him a large bugger, plus he weighs in at close to 10lbs. His swords (the client specifically asked for Tenseiga and Tetsusaiga) are carved from balsa, and have aluminum blades, with silk ribbon-wrapped hilts. The designs on his kimono were professionally-embroidered by a friend of mine, and his sash is hand-applique'd with stem-stitching details.

All features and stripes on Sess's face and body are hand-painted with textile paints and acrylics, then sealed with a special fabric varnish.
