Ceramics: Pilsner Dragon by Zanne Ceramics: Pilsner Dragon by Zanne
Wow, it's been a while since I've added anything; so I'd better get on the ball. :)

As most people have figured out by now, just by looking at my gallery, I love fantasy.

Those who know me better, know that I like to drink good things once in a while.

So, what better way to show my love of both, than a dragon-headed pilsner glass? I ask you. :D

Despite appearances, this glass is actually quite functional; I use it often, and it works quite well! Obviously, due to the fact that the base is high-fire ceramic, care is taken to ensure that those horns stay intact. I don't recommend using a glass like this at some raucous bruhaha. ;)

High-fire Willamette White ceramic clay with iron oxide rubbing and Shino-mixed green high-fire glaze. Accented with garnet and amethyst. Altered Oneida stemmed pilsner glass.

Approx. 7 inches tall.

A fine job indeed. The worn look of the paint works great for a dragon. Great attention o detail.

Wow. <<... .... ... ..>>;; *steals and scampers away with glee*

Actually I thought the background seemed right--though maybe a different hue would have made it stand out more. -shrugs-

EEEK! Heeeeeey....!!! *scampers after you* Miiiine! Minemineminemine!

Eh, I dunno...I'm thinking a darker background might have made the glass stand out a bit more, but I'm too lazy to redo it. XD

Good to hear from you, lady! ^_^ How have you been?

A simple little 4x6 Graphire. It's not everything I want, but since it's my first, I love it so. I kinda wish I got one bigger, but so far, I've not had any trouble with it. :3

Hallo! ^^ Yeah, it has been a while, hasn't it? The key is being able to attach the base to the glass, and still have it level enough to hold liquid and not fall over. ^^;

This is a pilsner glass, which is a type of beer glass. ^_^

Yes, indeed you were! ^^

Not difficult, per se, just a little time-consuming, as the adhesive cured. ^^; I had to keep adjusting it to make sure it stayed level during the curing time.
